Our Mission

To stimulate and encourage interest within the community in the  preservation, research and promotion of the history and heritage of Prince Edward County

To accumulate and preserve historical documents including newspapers, maps, pictures and photographs, books, stories, written records and other materials important to the history, cultural development and heritage of Prince Edward County

To educate and encourage awareness in children and youth of local history and heritage

To identify and encourage the preservation of historic buildings, structures and areas of historical significance in Prince Edward County

To provide the opportunity to learn more about the history of Prince Edward County through meetings, lectures and tours

To promote publications pertaining to Prince Edward County’s history and heritage

To cooperate with government agencies, the Prince Edward County Archives, other historical societies and other related organizations
