The Plaque Project
The Prince Edward Historical Society has received a grant from The County Foundation to set up the Plaque Project website. We are grateful to the Foundation for their support.

About the Plaque Project
The Plaque Project website will provide the location of each plaque on a map, a photo of the plaque and short background description. There is also the option of mapping out a variety of road trips to view the plaques. Although the Ontario Heritage Trust provides information about the plaques their organization has erected, there are many other plaques for which there is no central source of information. This is an ongoing project including existing plaques as we find them and adding ones that are erected in the future.
The Plaque Project will offer an opportunity for locals and visitors to tour the county to find the historic sites and learn about our local history. The project aligns with the municipalities strategy to promote and protect local history.
Our Partners
The Prince Edward Historical Society supports and works closely with the PEC Library and Archives. The archivist will assist in researching and verifying information to be posted on the site.
